In October 2006 I started paying on my truck loan, $41,142.72 @ 6.79% for 48 months($744.72 per month payment). 9 Months later I have $25,997.37 and 39 months left on my loan. I would really like to extend my loan 12 more months to make my payment smaller so I could put that extra cash towards a house payment. Would a loan officer even take me serious if I wanted something like $26,000 loan @ 5.75% for 51 months so my payments are around $575 or so?? My credit score is around 774-779 and I live in Minnesota if that helps. Also, are there any fees or extra cost with refinancing an auto loan or anything like that I should watch out for?? Thanks!

I am looking to insure a Volvo s60, I'm a new driver and 20. I understand this car has a large engine at 2.5 litre diesel. However it is not deemed a racing car and it has many things positive - It's a very large and safe car (much safer than your Clio, Corsa or Saxo), It isn't a racer's dream, it's big in all ways - And is viewed as a family vehicle. It's robust, chunky and it's a car I would feel very safe in and it would be driven sensibly. Would they insure me and for how much? (UK answers please, thanks)

Hi, we are U.S. citizens whose permanent residence is outside the U.S. We have health insurance in the country we reside, but unfortunately that does not cover us outside of the country. We are having a short visit to the U.S. for less than one month and would like to get some basic health insurance for our family. So far, most travel insurance I have found does not cover for travel in a country you are a citizen of (so ironically, we so far have had no luck getting travel insurance for the U.S., since we are U.S. citizens.) Therefore we are in a bit of a quandary. A) we only need insurance for a month and B) we don't need much more than something that covers for emergent or emergency care (i.e. something relatively inexpensive.) Please advise if you have ideas or experience on where we can get insurance.
